Updated October 15, 2011 Association property tax bills unpaid three years Don't take things for granted. You may be surprised to learn that Colony Club Homeowners Association property tax bill, for 3611 South Mall, went unpaid for three years due to the negligence of the Board of Directors. The Orange County Tax Collector bills for 2008, 2009, and 2010 were only paid July 12, 2011. Response: Homeowner involvement was encouraged." [You can't make this stuff up. Question: "Are dues going to be increased? Non-Answer: Homeowner involvement was encouraged." These are taken verbatim from the official Board Minutes.] _____________________________________ Board Minutes months later: "Homeowner asked the Board to explain why the decision to raise the dues for 2008. The Board explained that th...
