The aggregate value of real estate in our community exceeds
$600,000,000. Let's maintain it, shall we?
My beloved wife started our daily walks fifty years ago, for daily exercise and to get out of the house. I continue them to this day in memory and honor of her. Just as your body needs regular exercise to stay healthy, so too does your mind. One way to get it is to do NYTWordle.com every day. In the same site is Connections. It's difficult. Then try 247Wordley.com and Duotrigordle.com. Learn new words and keep your brain sharp.

Many more tennis and pickleballs left near the courts the past two weeks.
November 27 Thanksgiving Day
Many years ago, when our two daughters lived at home and were big enough to help out, I had this epiphany. My wife worked hard at home and had a job as well. So we always had dinner together, the four of us. I announced, "From now on, when Mother cooks, the three of us will clean up afterwards. And, one day a week, we will prepare meals and clean up after ourselves." My wife liked that idea very much and so did I. I encourage all of you to use it at home to help build responsible young adults. If there is any day when Mothers should not have to clean up after dinner, it is today!
Back to 2008 when I was first on the Board of Directors
Quarterly dues went from $215 to $145. After I left, they ratcheted back up to the current $195, partly due to $43,000 for monument signs on Scottsdale and The Mall after the Board, under John Allmann, refused to maintain our original wood signs.

More free tennis balls almost every day

November 20 SCE sent my electricity efficiency report today:
If we have a brownout, don't blame me. Talk to your neighbor with a Tesla. They take as much electricity as 100 to 150 houses to recharge.
November 15 You should report problems such as this to maintenance@cityofirvine.org, giving them the precise location. They will fix things in a hurry. This was on Culver Drive sidewalk.
November 12 Street Reslurry Update
After installation of new fiberoptic cables in all Colony streets, and sealing of the cracks, the reslurry has been postponed due to upcoming rainy weather. It was supposed to be done this month but has been rescheduled to February.
I spoke to Bobby Jones, the Foreman, and asked if his crew would cut weeds between the concrete gutter and the asphalt street. He said they would do that, and I will reward them with home made chocolate chip cookies I bake personally.
The newly remodeled home at 14375 Majorca, formerly a Carmel address, has a buyer and their offer has been accepted by the Receiver.

Advertising signs such as this are a violation of California state law as well as Irvine municipal code. Any time you see an advertising sign such as this, please notify Code Enforcement. They will remove it and warn the scofflaws that a $100 fine will be assessed for every sign they put up in the future. That stops them very quickly.
This sign is at Provincetown and The Mall. You must let Code Enforcement remove the sign or they cannot notify the sign owner of future fines.

Leaves and trash back up behind weeds you do not cut and then water backs up breeding mosquitoes.

JANUARY 2025 Benches should have been varnished years before getting this badly weathered.
The board of directors preferred to discard two benches which were on our tennis courts for decades, rather than simply shellac or paint them. What a waste.
